Miscellaneous Neat Things
I love this sermon, and this is is just a great idea by Morgan:
Danceable Homiletics #3: The Sting (featuring Greg Boyd)
Moonrise Kingdom Illustrated Screenplay – amazing!!! You can download the pdf.
Facebook Data Provide The Most Accurate NFL Fandom Map Ever Created
Movies:
Skin – a true, heartbreaking story that occurred in South Africa during Apartheid.
Les Miserables – this was my first time seeing the story and it was amazing.
Lincoln – this was way better than I thought, and I didn’t realize it was mostly about the amendment, and not his whole presidency. I was struck by how difficult it was to get one piece of justice accomplished.
Music
New music I’ve discovered, thanks to recommendations of friends and ease of Spotify:

What I’m reading right now:
Saving Darwin (I think this book is going to finish me off. I wasn’t going to write much about my diving into the evolution/creation debate, but this book has already shocked me in what I didn’t know, that I might end up talking about it later this spring.)
The Language of Science and Faith, some John Green novels (after seeing him recommended everywhere), and Help, Thanks, Wow.
And, of course, Inspiration and Incarnation. Today kicks off the fabulous book club, Reading in Transit, headed up by Kelley Nikondeha. Come read with us, and discuss your thoughts in blog posts or on twitter, using the hashtag #transitlounge. You can also get a twitter widget using the hashtag, so that people can follow along on your site. (See it at the bottom of my blog.) At the end of the month, we’re going to be hosting a synchroblog so we can all post our thoughts and ideas.
There is also a button for it, feel free to download it and use it on your own site.
Linking up with Leigh!
Caris – what did you think of Now & Then? I love his writing, but this one is so sentimental for me I cannot even pretend to be objective! Thanks for the book club promo… hope more friends join us for what we’re into for Feb.
I loved it. There were so many quotes I wanted to write down….and forgot to 😛 But I want to buy it. I think I’m going to try and read a lot of his books this year and let him mentor me. It was seriously so good. I don’t know how he can think like that. He talked about the Alphabet of Grace book and I think that’s next for me to read from him.
Which John Green novels are you reading? I’ve read two so far. Such an interesting author. I really want to see Lincoln but I’m hopelessly behind on movie watching. Great music recommendations!
Thanks for linking up!
I think you were one of the ones I saw talking about them. Looking for Alaska and PaperTowns. They look interesting, and can’t be too hard of a read. I actually almost bawled in Lincoln, which, hello, I know how it ends. But the way he did it…..ugh. It was heartbreaking.
