I love this idea of creating a list of all that you done, read, and watched for a month (or two)! btw, I love Spotify as well. It’s my almost daily companion. <3

Hey Caris! I’m reading Wild Mind right now… and starting to re-read Prophetic Imagination today. Also read Bell’s latest over the weekend. Glad you read Altar in the World – it’s on my top ten list of all time.

Love to you and the mister…

Love that you were involved in the New Girl filming – bet it was a blast! Also, LOVE that you enjoyed the Once soundtrack – I think Gold is my favorite song too..isn’t it wonderful? I NEED to get to NYC asap to see that show – I listen to the soundtrack nonstop! 🙂 I’m also getting ready to start Altar In The World – looking forward to it.

Where do I even begin? I want to hear more about your time in LA, especially the New Girl filming. So fun! Once is one of my favorite movies. I saw it a few months after I visited Ireland, which made me want to go back so badly. I, too, am apathetic about Alabama Shakes. They played a free show in the fall and the city practically shut down over it. They’re not bad. It’s not that I dislike them, I just don’t understand all the fuss. I thought I was the only one! I haven’t read Looking for Alaska yet- what did you think? And please tell me you loved An Altar in the World! Definitely watch Brene Brown’s interviews on Oprah. Simply amazing.

Oh I love Once, it’s one of my favourite movies. In London, they’ve made it into a musical and I am secretly wondering when I can next make a trip back to get tickets…
An Altar in the World is on my pile of books next to my bed at the moment, just waiting for me to get to it. It’s one that so many people rave about, I’m almost nervous to start it.

It was so much fun. I had all of these ideas for writing when I was out there, and then I just haven’t gotten around to them yet. I got to meet Alyssa Bacon-Liu and that was so great! I totally would become a paparazzi person if I lived out there. I totally thought I was past that, haha!

I walked past the crosswalk in the morning, and there wasn’t much going on, and later that afternoon I had a couple hours to kill, so I walked back down to see if anything else was going on. I sat at a restaurant on the corner, and watched all the extras walking out, and then Nick walked out…so I took the pictures through the window, haha. Getting to watch the full filming that night would have been fun, but I was glad I got to see a part of it at least.

I bawled at Looking for Alaska. It was so good. I haven’t read any of his other ones yet. And An Altar in the World? Unbelievable. BBT fan for life now.

I get nervous when people rave too….but this one definitely met the standards I had for it.

  9. Caris Adel April 9, 2013 at 10:42 am

The movie of Once is so good. Just as good as not being in New York!

  10. Caris Adel April 9, 2013 at 10:42 am

    It’s good and sad.

I know it’s bad for the artists….but dang. It’s so convenient And it’s a great way to find other artists I’ve never heard of, although I do like Pandora better for that.
