I’m joining the linkup for #WholeMama, where the theme this week is Empower/Superpower. I have no words on that topic at the moment, but I do have Photoshop superpowers! I’ve been listening to Joy Williams’ Venus album nonstop since it was released on NPR yesterday, and that whole album is the definition of female empowerment. So I’ve created a few posters using phrases from her songs. In the interest of quick upload times, I have a lower quality image here on the post, and then if you click on the link after each picture, you can get the full size image to save. Put them on a jumpdrive, take them up to the copy shop and hang them up in your creative space. 🙂
In love!! Thank you for sharing this super power!! xoxo
Ohhhh so lovely, thanks for sharing with us.
Such pretty graphics. Thanks for creating!
Love it! Thanks for sharing. And I finally got to listen to the album today. So good!

Oh, now I know, the “other half of the Civil Wars.” Lovely idea to combine your art and love of the music.
Oh Caris, these are LOVELY. I’m definitely coming back to this page so I can save and hone in on one during my writing/spiritual retreat in a couple of weeks!!
Such beautiful artwork! You do have a photoshop super power 🙂 These give a lot of food for thought. Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow I LOVE these. Thank you for sharing them with us!
I covet your superpower. Thanks for using it for a good cause. 🙂
GORGEOUS GIRL. Beautiful. And I love the album too.
Tell me about this retreat business. Um, I need one.
Ashley, I booked myself a little air bnb 10 miles up the road (in Berkeley), and am holing up for almost 48 hours to get all the words out of my head. No babies. No husband. No friends. I’m a wee bit nervous about all that alone time, but mostly STOKED!!!
What a fun idea! I love it. And i also covet your superpower. So beautiful!
How’d it GO???
OMG. It was such a gift – SUCH a gift. Except for leaving to eat a couple of times, I otherwise holed up for the entire weekend and felt like I got so much done when it came to the manuscript. It’s – the book – also seeming to take an entirely new direction, which is fun and good and then understandable why various agents and publishers told me I needed to finish writing the manuscript before submitting a proposal. 🙂 I’m hoping to finish by the end of September – we’ll see! ps: Thanks for asking!
Tell me more on Voxer. Pronto! All the book goodness. Love it.
